Default Oil Drain Plug Size For Stock '96 LT1?

I was thinking of replacing my oil drain plug, next time I do an oil change, with a magnetic one. What size is my stock '96 LT1 plug in mm or inches? What's a good aftermarket brand of magnetic oil drain plug that could actually catch some fine metal particles?

GM SPO mentions 1/2-20 for LT engines but mentions also a 2d design for '96 that's M12-1.75. I've never seen an M12-1.75 but I've never owned a '96. Could you expect either? Maybe!!

!0 or so years ago I was sent some LT5 plugs by DIMPLE because I corrected a catalog problem that they had. I ain't promoting their product but the ones Ihad were certainly 1st class.
