Default 383 ?

have a 383 with edle rpm performer heads and tpi intake both upper and lower long tube headers 1 3/4 with flowmaster exhaust. what do you think my 1/4 time should be . it a 86 vet with auto trans just trying to get a fairly close eistament

sounds like it should be fast. what kind of cam are you running. with the right cam that should run a 12-low 13. but that is just a guesse. also depends on tires and what-not.

my guess would be high 12s

You should think about replacing the TPI intake for a Superram. Are you still running the stock TC? Id go with something bigger there too, would drop you a fair bit in ET.

save for a superram & converter, you will do low 12's if you do, in your case i'd guess low 13's to high 12's, once you get a feel for the racing probably high 12's. a converter and SR will knock off half a second.

might as well say high 9's until you take it to a strip- otherwise, it doesn't really matter, does it?
