Default need help

I have an 85 corvette with the following done to it ..... 406 ci ross pistons, 11to1 comp. callies crank and manley h-beam rods, its also has a solid 580 610 lift cam. has sportsman 2.02 heads on the car ported. polished and what not.. cars done up nice i can show pics ..... my problem is what are you guys doing about transmissions.. Im into my 4th built 700r4 trans these things just keep breaking.... This car is putting down 438 horse at the rear wheels... has gone a best of 11.59 at 121 @ raceway park n,j with stock wheels and 3.08s what are you guys doing for transmissions anyone

I'm thinking with those kind of ponies it's time to look into a ZF or Richmond six speed. The upside with the six speed is you could run 4:10 gears and still be ok for the street. 84 CF 91 ZR-1

Look in the C5 section, a lot of the guys say that FLP makes a bullet proof 4L60E which is basically the same as the 700r4.
