Ok, so everyone here has been a lot of help along the way of my build. I recently bought a CORSA exhaust.... so my question is now, what are the best headers to splice into this system? Was looking at “AMERICAN RACING HEADERS”, “tips”, or “Melrose”. Would like to keep cats. Any info on this is highly appreciated.
i would like to get the 7/8 if I could. I heard if you get the 7/8 ones it needs spacers to clear the oil pan.... does anyone know if this is true and if so do you know part# of spacers?

I'd just like to point out that your approach to building your vette is going to cost a lot more and probably yield poorer results than making a coherent plan for the whole system. You have threads buying stuff here, selling stuff there, planning a top-end only change, talking about NA power limits, buying a longblock for boost, etc, etc.
AND you don't even know what's legal in CA.
You apparently have a pile of cash burning a hole in your pocket, but if you don't slow down some you're going to waste a lot of it. Maybe all of it if you end up with something you can't use legally in your state.
If planning and patience aren't your strong suits, given the budget you have stated ($20k for engine alone), maybe you could hire an expert to manage the build for you in order to make sure you end up with a coherent whole.

Well first off I was asking for advice on headers but I’ll keep your advice in mind pops... so I bought the heads because I knew they would make big power with boost. I always wanted a blower but simply “asked” if I would be able to run the heads on a stock block with N/A power since I had them laying around and didn’t have the blower. I’m sure I said somewhere along this build In some post the motor would be supercharged but would be ran N/A till I saved for the blower. Then after trying to have a motor built from local shops, I wasn’t liking the numbers I was hearing for the money I was spending. So after talking to a few people about LT1 builders they pointed me towards “Chad Golen” that I talked to and has done this build before so I felt comfortable with it.
I know what’s legal in California but didn’t see how it was relevant to my question about headers so I shyd it away with a polite comment. I don’t drive the car but on weekends and it will be driven mostly at local tracks and some cars and coffee events.
And the reason I’m not buying a C5 or a new ZL1 camaro to build is this was my dads corvette and he always wanted one so after he bought it he got in a accident and the car sat for around 8 yrs because he can’t drive it. So I bought it with the intention to build and keep.
Soooo, if you know of any headers that clear a canton oil pan or any other racing oil pan you think will fit my application and power needs please let me know , if not let someone that does
some guys will take a set of Dougs LT1 carb legal shorties, adapt the smog tube and get away with it if they do a clean job. Pass? depends.
Long tubes are better sure, but a guaranteed bust. With boost I wouldnt worry toomuch about it. Use good cats, a larger Y pipe 3" main get what ya get type thing.

I get you on the long tubes being a dead give away with a inspection but figured I needed them with that much power.... well If I go shortys I noticed they only go up to 3/4 does anyone know if anyone makes 7/8 in a shorty? And if not which is the best to go with I’ve looked at Doug’s, hooker and a couple others but none have a hp gain estimate and all are in 3/4
I doubt anyone makes a 7/8 in a shorty. 7/8 Headers are "stepped" where they are 3/4 at the head and then expand to 7/8 for the rest of the run. Probably not worth the F'in around on such a short run

I figured. I was curious on the shorties since smog ***** wanted to keep insisting on them due to I’m in CA. I really want 7/8 LT but I can’t find one that will clear any 7qt oil pan except a moroso which I can’t use because my car sits too low so I’m stuck with canton etc. 🤦🏻*♂️
What heads you run have something to do with it. If it were me runa stock system for smog, take a Sat or Sun and swap your headers/dual exh on for the next 2 yrs.
Stock manifolds will choke it and may not cover the exh port of a real good head anyways.
Owning any 80s car let alone modding it in Ca is all but impossible these days. Laws are BS.
