Default problems with my vette

I have a 1994 corvette that I have a hard time starting. when its cold it will start, i can drive it for awhile and turn it off. after a few minutes I go to start it and it's hard to start. after about 2 to 3 attempts it starts but runs rough for about 5 seconds and clears up. any ldeas what it may be?

Bad injectors is what it sounds like.

Fuel pressure? Plugs? Wires?

I'm going to go with fuel pressure. As with Aklim, a solid tune up with plugs, wires and a check of your fuel pressure will tell you a lot. You don't mention mileage but you may need to swap out your fuel filter as a good step if your pressure is low (less than 40).

Put a gauge on your engine and report back.

Turn the key on and don't crank. What's the pressure? How long till it drops after you turn the key off? When you get it running what is the pressure at WOT?

Fine water mist AROUND the wires at night. Any sparks? If so, wires are bad. Engine hot, repeat misting Any sparks?

How old are the plugs? Are they the right kind per manufacturer spec?

Hopefully the opti is good

Just had the opti changed, haven't put any wires on since I've had it. (about 4 years). The plugs are about 2 years old. I'm going to try the fuel pressure test first , if that's alright then I'll change the plugs and wires and see what happens

I'd test the wires for leaks before dumping
