96 Instrument Panel Lights
Looking for advice on what normally has to be replaced on a 96 when the switch on the headlight that increases instrument panel brightness only works at certain points throughout the range. Lights work at nearly full intensity, but do not work at some points in between min and max brightness.

Yeah, I just double checked my FSM, dimmer is a variable resistor that sends voltage to the CCM which controls the brightness...my guess would be switch is failing or just needs cleaning. Contacts points might have gotten dirty over time. Common problem with the HVAC controller as well.
