I got my new EGR switch in today. The directions say to screw in the new one and splice it into the old harness or replace the harness also. Splicing it would be easier but I don't want to if I should replace the harness. What did you all do? Harness to or splice?
The problem is that the connector in that grn wire is behind the intake base to the left of the dist.
When I had the dist out and the intake base removed I spliced in some grn wire to bring that connector up to the right of the dist for easy access.
In lieu of doing that operation, cut off the connector from the new EGR sw and splice it into the grn wire; use some heat shrink tubing for a weather tight seal.
