I pulled the plenum off to change the fuel injectors. The engine has 33+K miles. Should I change the manifold gasket now that I'm this close? It appears to have oil on top of the bell housing. Other than hoses, should I be looking at anything else to replace while it is apart?
Thanks.
Use a small mirror and trouble light to see if the oil came from the oil senders or the intake base.
In either case you might want to splice an extension into the Grn wire from the EGR Temp Sensor to bring it up to the right of the dist. The connector in that wire can be found behind the oil senders to the left of and below the dist.
I had mine done around 30.XXX miles 6 months ago. It's now off again due to a collapsed lifter(I guess the super ram likes time off  ) If it's leaking oil or anti-freeze, change it. You're there anyway.
While I have the manifold off, should I think about porting it? Will it help? I have never tried porting before, is it difficult? I don't plan on doing any major mods, just the usual little here, little there.
