Long story short: I was moving out of my home and decided to have the motor rebuilt in my 92'. Made the mistake of having a "friend" do the tear down/take motor out. Well this jerk took the whole front suspension out too!!!! I remember when my brother & I put the temp motor in the car, all we did was lower the trany, didn't touch anything but the motor.
I was going to have my friends roommate put it back together (just the suspension) since I felt I didn't take it apart, it is pretty intimidating. Well this guy had NO IDEA what he was doing. So I'm over having someone else work on my car. If you want it done right - do it yourself!!!
I would really appreciate detailed pictures of the suspension and front end - the jerk even disconnected the brake lines. I spent 4 hours reading the search results and got SOME pictures (3 pages worth). I have the factory service manual(s) but I'm more of a visual type person + I'd be able to verify my work. With pictures and the FSM I'll be good to go.
Thank you in advance!!
BTW: I'm in Phoenix, AZ if you are too, I could come to you/meet in parking lot to take pictures myself. THX
Sent you a PM. I am in PHX also, I-17/T/Bird area with a 94 you could take pics if still interested. Will be around this Sunday. My number is in the PM.
Are all of your bolts and small parts just loose in buckets? I can likely supply you with very good illustrations that would allow you to sort much of the hardware. Was the entire cross-member removed? Dropped as an assembly or suspension (control arms etc removed and then the cross-member dropped.
WOW to take the front end apart is a big job and one has to know a little something to do that . That's not funny but to come back and your C-4 is disassembled I'm glad he stopped at the front end . If I was in Phoenix I would put in all back for you . That's nuts..
Why in the world... Was he trying to drop the motor out the bottom?
I think it has something to with gravity or was that insanity I got it , misinformed . He was thinking it was a C-5 . Never let children play with big boy toys ..
maybe you should buy radar a plane ticket, not too far away
If one can't help a Bro. out what good R U .. These C-4 are old school no big deal after working on them for years and years .. Built a few C-4 track rides . I built this one 96 LT-4 not a track ride but it would be on the rear of any C-6 at the time .. Out powered but stay with them in the turns .. All stock hand selected parts .. Chevy makes good stuff got to know what to look for ..
