Default Quick dumb question
I have a 96 base coupe. I was doing some work on the windshield washer pump and had the side cover removed. There is a big (like 1 1/2" dia) rubber tube with an opening that can open but closes by itself coming from the AC-heater airbox. What does this do? Thank You,Dan

Sure sounds like one of the cowl plenum's rainwater drain tubes:
