89 60 over Timing Issue
I bought this car told is was fine. turns out head gasket was blown. it is a jasper . the mechanic who repaired head gaskets said pistons were 60 over and it had a differnt cam. i replaced many sensors only ones left are knock and ecm. the engine revs up after the tps voltage goes up. its like it is following it not at the same time. no ses light i did have 42. new tps,aic,maf,icm,coil,cap,rotor. Any help would be greatly apriciated. im about 6 grand in on repairs for a car that i love but i know isnt worth that much. Thanks

Open the tan/blk wire from the dist., put a timing light on #1 and see what is your base timing.
Also, what is the TPS voltage at base idle?

6atdc. Tps volt .54. one thing I thought was weird was when the mechanic put my engine back together the connector on my distributor cap is facing the firewall. And my number one spark plug lands on the pin to the right of the electrical connectors on the distributor cap.
