I think If you change went to when it makes some sense. Probably because my 92 has a similar issue.
If I get in and put the key in I will sometimes get a faint buzzer sound. But if I get in, fasten seat belt and close the door before I put the key in it doesn't happen. So I've always assumed it was a key warning.
But when it happens it stays on after the car is started. But it is faint and stops after about 2 minutes. So I can't see pulling the dash to get at the tone generator.
Are there really any valuable signals from the tone generator?
I can tell that the door is open, headlights are on and my seat belt is off. I guess a key in warning is useful. Does it generate tones for anything else?
I had a VW GTI that would generate a low oil pressure warning above 10 mph. Only heard it when it was like 20 below and the oil was like molasses.
96 corvette buzzer noise went driving or key in on
Where is the Buzz coming From Is by the steering Column? Amp. Noise coming from speaker? or is it coming from the Passenger Dash by the feet? If it is the one by the Feet Check your fuses I cant remember which one but I had The same noise it made a Relay buzz. it was a 5 Amp? possibly the Right Side Courtesy I was Replacing the Door Handle Lights at the time.
