diagnostic anomaly
On my 86 manual when I ground the diagnostic terminal the electric fan comes on and no flashing happens on the readout.
What led up to this is the car will start but immediately die unless I hold the revs up for a few seconds then slowly allow it to slow down to idle. Then it will idle fine until I stop and start it again. then the idle issue repeats.
Any others with similar issues?

Turn the key on but don't start it. If the lamp doesn't come on, dig in and find out why.
It may just be burned out but someone may have removed it instead of fixing what
was causing it to come on. Report what you find.
