As far as weight im hearing 3200 is achievable with race seats, smaller battery etc... im not changing out the shocks right now they work perfectly fine (have been in performance mode since I have owned it ) well see how the care behaves in the 2019 season. I have some nasty competition my buddy has a well prepped c5 z06 with 315 and 335 hoosiers, another friend with a very well prepped m3 and a pesky Honda civic with one hell of a driver all in all cant wait for next year. I will make a build thread when I start tearing into this thing before spring.
how about removing passenger seat (vs spend a bunch of money on race seats)? Is that allowed?

It's not allowed in BSP: seats may be replaced but not removed. One has to be sure that aftermarket seats are really lighter - the base seats in my 96 are quite light, and many aftermarket seats are actually heavier. I would guess that the ZR1 came with the fanciest, heaviest seats, but don't assume anything. Carbon fiber hood is definitely not allowed.

how about get rid of power seats for manual sliders. Maybe a couple pounds per side? Is that allowed
yeah i once looked into expensive afternarket seats to find out that the recaros and others were just as heavy or heavier than what was already in there.
made more sense to just pull out the passenger seat if i was that worried about 35 lbs for drag racing.
i also relocated my battery to behind the passenger seat for ‘balance’ when the pass seat was removed. This was more for road course racing - which rules are kind of mickey mouse with the organization i used to race in (which was just for fun).

Yep, sure is. Any replacement seat can be used as long as it's upholstered and has a functional headrest. IOW, it has to be a street car seat and not a race-only seat or lawn chair or something ridiculous.

Battery can be relocated, if a reasonable better spot for it can be found. However, the seats both have to be there, so the battery has to be small enough to fit behind the passenger seat.
Yeah the million way power option seats are definitely chunky. weight reduction is in the plans but for the first year its tires bushings sway bar and lots of events. This car can be driven so much more comfortably near the limit other than my cobra. I will start a build thread in the spring when I order my parts and start install. Project Top Gun should be fun for sure!

When you start the build thread, please alert or link us to it here. I'd like to follow along.
PS - The name "Project Top Gun" is kind of funny and coincidental. A good friend of mine owns Vorshlag, and they did a C4 project for NASA Time Trial competition - it was called Project Danger Zone.
