erratic oil pressure gauge
Oil pressure readings random readings sometimes OK. Replaced both oil pressure switches and no better results. Ran a manual gauge connected for a week and confirmed oil pressure is OK.

Start checking wires. Something is wonky somewhere. Iirc the sender grounds through itself so somewhere between the gauge and dash is my bet.

You should only have 1 oil pressure switch, it should be at the back of the intake manifold on the drivers side....WW

The OP has mentioned this a 'few' times - a couple occasions in 2014 - I mentioned in one of those threads that since he hadn't mentioned year I assumed that his gauge would likely have been a 'bell shaped" affair. I don't believe I've ever seen the OP mention year specific but through '88 it would have been a 'bell shaped' single wire sender.
In 2014 he mentioned doing a 'mechanical' also.
