I don't disagree with what you and vader86 are pointing out. I wasn't trying to suggest that they TB blades were being programmed to move differently only that the car's response was different and don't mean to lead the OP astray.

I drove the car that way for 60K and really enjoyed the perceived "instantaneous" response . Now it's been almost 2K on the new rearend and I will ask them about it.

Now that I think back on this, the years that this was my only car and I was driving it in the snow up and down hills in Seattle (a few times a year) was before the cam and original tuning work was done otherwise I may have been less successful driving in the snow LOL.

LOL these C-4s are old but not that old ,going to but that old 750 double pumper on that thing and its going to fast .. With the PCM or ECM or whatever one wants to call it . The electronics in the C-4 and all the rest regulate what going on inside the motor . The days of just slapping on something and saying I did good just can't jump the premiers of the electronics have to sit down have a long talk with the tune if add something have to tune for it ,its a new day scene 1984 . Yep a 750 double pumper back in the day would make anybody a hero ..

The only difference is that if you want to do something, you have to understand what you are doing as opposed to "Monkey see, Monkey do" and be able to fudge your way out of it. I would think that racers actually put some design and thought into their motors since they wanted to max it out whereas the average guy could slap on whatever his buddy said works and look good. If the carb didn't work, change jets around till it did. He didn't really need to understand what was going on. Downside is he didn't have as precise control as we do today. Back in the day, dad (in Asia where it was warm and humid) had to choke the car and let it warm up, etc. Back in 05, when we went to 10000 feet altitude, we had to guestimate a rejet and if it didn't work right, here you go again. Sold both the ATVs and got EFI. Now I can go anywhere, fire it up, drive off the trailer and go riding.

So yes, it would make you a one eyed hero among the blind. Today, that isn't as easy to be anymore. OTOH, it does give some good benefits. Not having to rejet or wait till the car warmed up to drive is a huge plus. Also if you really care about the environment and not just lip service, it is a huge plus. The downside is you have to put some work into it if you want to modify. All depends on how you look at it.
