If you have the value of the resistor used in your ignition key there are companies that sell permanent disabling device for these pesky alarm systems. I would probably eliminate that device from your list by disabling it. The built in alarms have been known to be real trouble at times. I bought my disabling device from Mid-America. They are cheap, I paid less than $30 for the device and it simply plugs into the system under the dashboard
The passenger side Mirror goes all the way out? Is this after starting the car or when? That is something I would investigate as you might have a problem that could draw a bit of current if the switch continues to run trying to hold the mirror out as far as it can, that could eat some serious current potentially. I would disconnect the switch from the electric mirrors for a couple weeks and see what happens.
Good Luck and best wishes in finding the culprit who likes eating away at your battery!
The mirror thing hasn't happened in a while, it just happens that sometimes when it dies it goes out.
And funny enough I don't have the chip key but IIRC the 84 security system didn't use that anyway. I believe that was new for 85.
Also, it was dead the next day to the point it wouldn't crank, with just the meter saying it was at 38 mA. So I am rethinking the whole brand new battery thing too.
FYI, the residual current drain in my '84 is 13 mA. Parking my car for two weeks is not a problem. It's hard for me to believe that 38 mA will kill your battery overnight.

That's kind of where I'm at. 38 ma is within spec and shouldn't kill it in any less than 2 months.
I have that meter from HF, very useful. Now onto the area being referenced on battery drain. Here's one I ran into that took a while to find. The console well where the seat adjustor is, wife had put a lipstick in it and something on it. Pressed just enough to depress the powerseat button which drained the battery.
I put a battery cutoff on mine so it's easy to disconnect the battery when it's not being run for a while. Only downside so far is I lose the radio presets but that's minor overall in relation to everything else.
