Ignition back feed problem
Hey.1984 c4. Ignition is backfeeding from my alternator. .Car runs on a bit when turned off..When alternator is disconnected car shuts down correctly. .Wiring is good..Question is do I need a new alternator or is there a fix for this..

Alternator is repairable. Internal components can be tested. Problem could be finding the internal service parts. Service by replacement, has put some challenges in getting necessary parts. You could see if there is a local alternator/starter repair center in regards to parts.
