Good morning, I have been working to straighten out multiple electric issues on my Vette. The analog temp gauge does not work which I believe is causing some of the issues I am experiencing. I have identified that the wiring is bad. There are two wires. I am having a heck'uva time trying to find how to access this wire. I've been under the car, above it... it's a pain. I am thinking it may just be best to replace the whole wire back to it's source. Has anyone had any experience with this or advice? Thanks
What causes you to believe a faulty analog sensor wire is causing problems other than the analog gage?
A more accurate temp gage is the digital gage. Unless the analog wire is causing other problems, just use
the digital gage for temp readings.
" There are two wires."....... what two wires concerns you? The analog temp sensor has only one wire.

There are so many electrical issues with this car I would like to repair everything so I can eliminate the possibility of anything causing an issue. To be honest, I don't see or know where to look for the digital reading? My understanding, and I could easily be wrong, is that the analog gauge not reading could also cause the car to run rich - but based on your response I believe I could be incorrect. Either way, I really would like for that gauge to work as well. Based on the codes I am seeing, I believe I may have a faulty ECM.
Confirm your vette is an LT1 ('92-'96). If you don't have a factory manual, get one. Check eBay for availability.
Confirmed... 1994 LT1
I will get the factory manual
The wire for that sensor is completely bad. It appears to actually have two wires running to the plug which was what I was trying to capture in the picture. One of the wires is completely cut off at the plug. I need to replace that whole wire to really do it correctly. I can't get my hands into where it's at, and I've looked at it from the top and underneath.
