TPI is a good intake for a not so good engine. Build/mod a engine and TPI is the cork While the fitech Ultra Ram may be more like a single plane, it's runners are still not sized for high rpm. I doubt many would just put the intake on w/o a cam swap and other mods.

It just kind of flat lines. Mine does the same thing. It'll rev out to 6500... just doesn't make any more steam past like 4500... and that's based on the VE table. I have only SOTP to back that up.

Yup if the valvetrain, ignition n so on is good, the TPI flat-lines but will still make better ave HP with more RPM

Local speed shop has the fitech ultra ram hanging on the wall. The ports are 1204, and not much material there to port out to a typical 1205 and definitely not a 1206. It has very short runners, shorter than stock lt1 intakes. I wouldn't consider it a performance piece at all, more of a street rod piece where a guy just wants efi. And it's clearly made out of low grade aluminum, so if you were to have its porta matched up to the typical performance heads plan on paying a welder as well as the guy porting it. Stay with the weiand stealth ram, or original accel pieces, Tpis miniram, or newer edelbrock pro Flo xt stuff.

1206 is not needed unless large displacement or high RPM, many don't need a 1205(higher rpm dual planes often are just under a 1205). Still you can't compare dry flow sizing to wet&dry either. I don't have either intake to measure myself and compare but it's hard to imagine looking at an LT1 intake, that the Fitech is shorter. Be nice if someone did.
