Ok, So I have been looking everywhere for information on either adjusting or replacing the E-brake on the 88 C4. It is very sparse and unclear. Maybe I'm missing something, but I think I've looked everywhere! I am waiting on my shop manual but I have to get this corrected this weekend so I can get it inspected. I still have the paper plates and I'm running out of time.
Does anyone have either a link or instructions as to how to fix this? Regular brakes I can do all day, but I've never worked on the parking brake.
Well I figured out what the issue was. The bracket that held the tension on the cable the went to the right caliper was bent and floppy. So it wouldn't allow to holt the cable sleeve stationary. Therefore not allowing the cable to pull the callipers to hold pressure. Getting a new bracket fabricated.
