ok after 5 years of an intermittent fuel sending unit on my 89, i'm finally gonna do it, car only had 60,000 miles
when i bought it, 90,000 now. pretty sure its the original fuel pump/sending unit. ive got a pretty mild motor, small cam, headers,
and a miniram, ive tuned it myself using an ostrich, dont think ive ever been fuel starved but should i buy an oem ac/delco
assy with new fuel pump, or an aftermarket one with a walbro,,,, i imagine the new Assemblys even acdelcos are chinese junk?
I just did mine before I put it away for the winter. I used a Delphi from Napa Auto. I had to purchase the sock separately. It fit well, it had the hose and plastic clamps which eliminate the pulsator. Not sure if your year has the pulsator or not.
Good luck ?
Fortunately changing the fuel pump on a C4 is about the easiest it can get considering you don’t have to drop the tank. I replaced mine with a genuine walbro over a decade ago.
