Oil pressure/ fuel pump switch help
Hi guys.....removing the oil pressure sensor on the back of engine on a 93 LT1. Any tricks to getting the sensor out? I purchased a new ac Delco sensor along with the special socket to install it. Problems is the socket fits the new sensor perfect but doesn't fit the original one. I'm thinking of just cutting the old one with a hacksaw to get to the bolt head?
any suggestions will be welcome! Looks like I could remove the EGR valve to get a better shot at it?

I had to replace mine on my 90 L98. Mine is on the rear of the engine left of the distributor, not sure if that's the same location as yours. I used a basin wrench to get the old one off and used the socket to install the new one. I removed the windshield wiper motor also for better access to the sensor.

The LT1 is in the same location, just alittle easier to get at. I'll try the basin wrench, thanks fr the tip. The EGR vale s also in the rear of the engine so that might need to come out also.
