Lt1 intercooler that wont block the radiator ?
I currently see 12.5 psi boost at 6000 rpm. When observing engine iat’s on the dyno, i noticed the iat’s drop when meth/water inj triggers around 3000 rpm. But then they went up to 115F (65F day) at 6000 rpm - despite meth/water inj spraying full blast.
Anyways i want to see if anyone has any experience adding an intercooler for boosted lt1 c4 applications.
if so, what ‘size’ did you use? C4 radiator is 24” wide. I imagine an intercooler of similar width, but maybe only 8” tall so it doesnt block all of the c4 radiator.
the obsolete procharger kits intercooler (with hole cut on top of radiator) is way too flow restrictive and is not an option .
What did did your car put down?
i settled on water/meth injection and E85. Maybe E85 might be an option for you?
However one problem I see is that the E85 actually is more like E45 to E85 (they dont guarantee its 85%), so i cant tune accurately for it.
modern cars have sensors which sense exactly how much ethanol is in the gas and adjust for it. However I dont know how I could make my 93’s ecm recognize this input (if i added the sensor) and adjust for it since the computer is not set up for it.
