banging noise in the Heads?
The other night took my old vette to 8K rpm on accident she would shift... but now it is making a noise in the heads it seems? i am thinking a Pushrod bent or something, where should i start to look or should i just trow in the towel? She still runs just loses power when i get on it? My friends are trying to get me to pull the motor but if i can get a couple more pulls from old BETZY then that would be fine?

If you have any problems, they can probably be fixed without pulling the motor. As long as it's just the valve train, new springs, rockers, or push rods should be all you need.

Thanks i think i will start with pulling the valve covers and checking for bent push rods and stuff like that! really sucks but i thought vettes have rev limiters? i found out the hard way!

Probably something in the valve train gave out. you might have a broken spring, bent / broken push rod etc...
They should have a rev limiter unless you have an aftermarket chip to go with your blower?

You most likely broke a few springs and bent a push rod or two. As for a rev limiter, I have never seen an L98 with a rev limiter. I have owned 2 90's and my current 91 and none of them have had a rev limiter.
