Poly is more reactive worn rubber does colapse. Is there noise? Worn shocks possibly.

Did you use a torque wrench to tighten all the nuts and bolts?

If you jack up the back end of the car, does the rear suspension appear to bind ? Poly bushings can bind a Corvette rear suspension.

Yes bolts were torqued per GM Service Manual. I will have to jack it up tomorrow, if I stand behind it and push down it just rocks up and down .

Did you reuse old spring bolt and tighten castle nuts just enough to install cotter pins. If so and nothing loose. It's probably the way it's going to be.

Did you torque them with the suspension loaded?

Because, to my knowledge, you probably should..

I know this sounds stupid but if you completely removed the stabilizer bar like I did doing that job is it possible you reinstalled it upside down?
I did and my first drive around the block made me think what did I do wrong. Sure enough stabilizer bar was installed upside down.
Check it just in case.

I was going to post this exact same thing. I bet you anything that's what's wrong with the OP's car. With the bar upside down, the bend in the arms contacts the frame of the car and you essentially end up with a solid rear suspension (i.e. no suspension movement at all). Don't ask me how I know...

Yes, it was an interesting experience. Felt like an old car without any shocks but ten times harsher.

Glad you got it fixed. Surprising how useful white paint sticks along with pictures plus masking tape and permanent markers can be on reassembly. Any more the memory isn't as good as it once was. If I don't mark things well it's very possible either I won't remember where something goes or assemble it wrong. They've saved my a lot of embarrassment over the years.
