Hey man... I noticed your signiture.... And you basically have everything I do..... and Im about to supercharge my 91.... Is yours a 6 spd?...... But anyways, What kinda numbers you putting out, ou ever get it down the track? ...... Any kinda information about the car and supercharger process would be great.... Hows the car compare to efore you supercharged it? the only thing you have I dont is the 3.73's.... Thanks
Let me tell you what i have total... i kind of left some stuff out.
Injection: TPI (Tune Port Injection) 24lbs injectors (Bosh)
Exhaust: Headman Headers (full length) w/custom 3inch exhaust
Transmission: Stock 700R-4
Differential Gears: Strange Racing Gears (3:73 ratio)
Alternator: New (AC DELCO)
Starter: New (Power Master)
Wheels: KONIG 17” by 9.5 wide (monsoons)
Forced Induction Supercharged: ATI Procharger Series D-1 (10lbs of boost) with (2) 1-core intercoolers and installed by Procharger Technician.
Other Modifications As follows:
2 pod pillar gauge (boost and fuel)
Air Foil (TPIS)
MSD 6A ignition box
MSD Super Coil
ACCEL extreme heat 9000 (8mm)
Now to answer your question i picked up my CHarger for 4900$ and i have not made it to the track as of yet because i had a problem with my brakes locking up all the time and over heating so that really sucked BUT i did have a 150shot of nitrous and that ran a 13.2 i have a vid of it and i will tell you that now that my brakes are fixed i am way faster now then i was on the bottle so i would say i am in the 12's for sure? Power wise i made to that back wheel with no computer chip and fmu not dialed in and it maked 330hp to the back wheel on 7lbs of boost (belt slippage) but now that it is tuned and chipped and no slippage i know i beat my boy that is making 500hp RWHP but that could be that i have gears and he does not? but i spank him everytime and he hooks up everytime? So i am really wondering how much i will make this summer coming up and me being at 6000feet above sea level we lose alot of power! Let me know what questions you have i really love my ati kit! Oh as for before and after.... world of a difference and actually i dont get races no more because my car is so loud with my blower i scare away the stangs????
Well.... first off... I am at sea level... so my times are gonna be faster then your by awhole lot if we do the same thing.... I have a 6 speed with 3.45s, so are gearing is close.... I would get a new exhaust with the system, and everything else is pretty much the same.... 4900 seems like a lot for the system.... I have seen them for 3500 w/ intercooler..... I will be installing them myself..... What did u have to do in the way of tuning.... ??? I really cant wait to get the money for it....
Well if you are at sea lever get the P1-SC cause you are not needing to move air like me, but as for tuning it was not bad just get an fuel pressure gauge and when you punch it your fuel should shoot to about 50psi or higher and get bigger injectors like 34 or 36lbs but at your sea level i am not sure to be honest what you need to do for the tuning but it is all the same...but what i did is got my chip burned (ed wright) then i ran my fmu as rich as possible (clock wise all the way) the leaned it out little at a time till i was about 12:1 air to fuel. (counter clock wise for leaning) then i was set and i keep the belt nice and clean so i dont get slippage. So if you really want to know the lowdown on ATI's i would talk to jason at GWP he has been with ATI forever and say i referred you he knows who i am :D http://www.goldenwestperformance.com
