Anyone using RideTech HQ shocks on the street and what settings are you using, I would like a starting point other than using the highest setting and working my way down. Thanks in Advance.

Hi, I am using the Ridetech shocks front and rear and I really like them.
So after setting the **** to full stiff (full clockwise setting) then adjusting it 20 clicks counter clockwise. I then turned it 13 clicks clockwise. Or 16 steps from full soft.
Now 13 clicks is pretty stiff and New England streets suck but I love the precise handling and no lean in the corners.
The front and rear are at the same setting. I tried different settings for the front and then the rear but my car likes the shocks set the same front and rear.
Good luck they are nice shocks ?.

Thanks for a quick reply, that gives me a good starting point, I live in PA and the frost heaved roads are rough so having this info helps.

11 was a bit too soft. 12 was real nice. But I got greedy and went one more step to 13. I may change them back to 12 if my kidneys don't hold up😂

Really impressed with my RideTech shocks, right now I am at 10 from full soft on the front an 11 on the rear. Hopefully I will have some good weather next weekend so I can play some more with the settings.

Had a chance to take it out after work today and I will be backing off some more on the front and rear, I also do not have stock suspension, I have poly bushings in my entire suspension, smart struts and camber brackets on rear, stock spring on rear, VBP soft ride spring up front, 32mm solid sway bar up front and 26mm solid sway bar on rear. I will turn both the front and rear down to 8 from full soft and try that next time out.

Finally had some time yesterday after work to try it out with the shocks set at #8, that worked very well, next time out I may go down to 7 on the rears.

With the settings at 8 I made a grocery run into the town of Ashland, PA. witch is pretty dam bumpy, normally will not take take the vette, It handled the potholes very well, firm without jarring. Latter I took it down the highway and at those settings it does not feel like its floating then down some twisty back roads it feels very well planted with out being harsh I can honestly say my cornering speeds have increased to the point of being to fast for the street. At some point I will try them at full soft and full hard settings just to see how much of a difference it makes.

Sounds like you are on the road to great handling.
I hope that I have your luck.
What system did you have before?
Thanks

Just curious about the 8 setting. Is that 8 clicks clockwise from the 20 counter clockwise (baseline setting)?
Glad you like the way they feel. Seems like I have my settings pretty firm if we are setting them from the same baseline. I have the 96 Z51 stock springs and stabilizer bars with poly end links on the bars and full Banski in the rear.

I tried at setting number 7 from full soft last weekend and liked it real well, today took it down to 6 from full soft and its softer with out feeling like it flotes but feels as if it has bit of sway at initial turn in so I may take it back up 7 from full soft on the fronts next time out.
