Mechanic in Western Mass?
Does anyone know of a good mechanic in Western Mass?
I might want some motor work done to my vette but I don't want to take it to just anybody.
So if anyone knows of a good mechanic or happens to be a good mechanic and is in my area please let me know. Thanks!

Well, over the winter I want to have the valve stem seals replaced and the valve springs at the same time. I get a little smoke on startup which is really annoying. I'm not a total moron when it comes to cars but I would probably screw it up if I tried to do it. I also want to rebuild the dash cluster, install a new stereo and replace the mufflers but that stuff I should be able to do.
It's cool to meet some local C4 owners on here! I just bought mine last month after wanting one since I was 7 when the first C4 came out. I've messed around with plenty of Camaros and Trans Ams but nothing comes close to this.

To bad your not closer to central mass we do that sort of stuff in our sleep or out side in the dark in Scorp's case :lol: You're need to hook up with us for some racing.

There's a little repair shop at 390 main st. in indian orchard called gus'.
he's got 2 vettes of his own and did a complete frame off resto' on his 68 convertible. his phone # is 413-543-8668. he's a good mechanic. tell him

Jimbo, thanks for the info. I'm 3 miles away from Gus; I will definitely be talking to him before spring comes.

yeh....thats the one.....right at the top of the hill...every year there is a big car show....i don't have the exact dates...but it in the summer.

Yeah, it's every Thursday during the summer. If guys brought your Vettes there this past summer, I probably drooled over them at least a few times.

Yup...mine was there quite a bit.....I had a plaque in the back ...XtremeVette....
