Wish I could help more but my '84 is setup up so much differently. It has the LT1 dual fan setup and still has the Crossfire hood. To make my C6 LS3 Airaid fit I had to trim/cut the Crossfire induction path at the front of the hood and also had to cut out a filter shaped hole in the radiator ducting so the filter could recess into it. I think if I had an '85 plus hood it probably would have fit without any trimming.
