Default Unable to get inside the vette

So my friend bought a new Corvette to have fun with, It is a 1987 convertible with the top up. He was showing off the Vette to us this morning, so he popped the hood and locked the doors so he could show us the engine without anyone messing with things. He then proceeded to shut off the power and close the hood and is now unable to use his keys to unlock the car. Is there any way for us to turn off the auto lock now that the hood is closed?

If the round key doesn't work you might need a locksmith.

I have, someplace, flat bent tools like a Slim Jim to open a C4 hood when the cable fails. Works well, just a little finesse required.

Or call Triple A.

I think the OP is saying the driver and passenger doors won't open, not the hood. So do the key work the door locks? You should be able to open on door or the other using the round key.
If the hood is still open, unhook the battery and see if it works then.
If all else fails, try your motor club or lock smith and see if they can do anything.
Failing that, can you work a wire through the window and grab the opposite side door handle?

Get a door stopper and gently insert it between the top and side window glass, then manually unlock the door using a long metal rod with a hook on the end.

What the heck is an auto-lock for the doors? 1987's didn't have such a thing. Nor did they have key fobs or any other gizmos that locked anything automatically or remotely. If his doors magically lock automatically that car must have some aftermarket froo-fram installed.

He then proceeded to shut off the power
