I seem to have a "weak" door lock solenoid. When I walk away from my car, I hear the "click" indicating it is locking. But if I put the PKE down and walk back to the car, the door is unlocked and alarm sounds if I open the door. Sometimes the door actually does lock, and sometimes it doesn't, though it always sounds like it does. Has anyone experienced this? Do I need to install a new solenoid (at about $60) or just lubricate things inside the door?
im curious to guys. Mine has been doing the same thing lately. If i hit the lock button on my after market alarm, sometimes the door locks, and sometimes it doesnt. It always feels that it is almost locked, but not quite there..
My drivers lock has the same problem, sounds like it's locking but not. I think the solenoid is toast, because I played with the linkage to no avail. Bought a new one but have not put it in yet.
Mine does not lock I press the lock unlock and the pass side works fine, the Driver side makes an attempt but cant get there and lock or unlock so I have to do this manually, what the heck is wrong and what do I need to replace to get this thing working again?
I recently took my door apart for the same reason. I lubed every moveable part associated with the lock assembly and linkages. So far it has been working fine. Hope you get it fixed.
