Default LT1 Lifter selection

Any lifter recommendations?

Rockauto has Melling, Mahle/Clevite and AC Delcos. The AC lifters are stupid expensive, not sure why...

I’ve also heard LS7 lifters can be used? Seems these can be found for a more reasonable price.

The genuine GM/Chevrolet Performance PN 12499225 (LS7 lifters) can be bought for just under $200 from reputable retailers..... Summit/Jegs. I have used them many times in LTX builds.

Thanks Will this is exaclty what i'm looking to confirm. I've read that they are compatible but have been perplexed as to why Gen2 LT1's are not listed as an application. AC Delcos on Rock Auto are listed at $32 each!!

Guy that lives across the street from me who has a H/C Firehawk told me Texas Speed has a great price. Haven’t had a chance to confirm the statement tho...

$170ish.... Thats a really good price from Texas Speed. They are pretty well known but just make sure they are GMPP lifters.... not Delphi, not an equivalent or any of that stuff....

You have to be careful with what you are buying.... lots are listed on Ebay and Amazon with the GM PN but use it as a crossrefrence for their China made equivalent junk lifters and get unsuspecting people. Thats why I always buy from a nationally known source. I like to buy them from GM Parts Direct and a few of the Chevy Dealers who are CF supporting vendors depending on the price but I don't try to price shop too much beyond reputable places because of the counterfeit lifters out there.
