Default Alternator squeak

I recently replaced the alternator and belt on my 35th. Problem now is the squeak I get when hard acceleration is applied. The belt is correctly installed . I thought I read somewhere that this was the case early on with GM having bad alternators.I don't want to but another alternator either. I purchased this one from a chevy dealer. The sound is one of a loose belt , I had also replaced the belt tensioner GM part also.

Hi bro, sorry to hear you're having problems with that 35th Anna.

Is the belt tensioner in the middle of the marks, are all the alternator brackets tightened to spec and are you sure it's the alt. making the noise?

Assuming you can force the squeal by raising idle RPMs, you can use a piece of rubber tubing as a stethescope to maybe see if it's the front or rear bearing or even the alternator.

Do you still have that "frisbee" on the water pump pulley; if so could it be causing belt slip under hard accel?

Do you get the sound with A/C on and with it off?

BTW, I run an underdrive crank and overdrive alt pulley (both undersized) with no belt squeal.

The noise happens under a load. If I try it in neutral I can't get it to squeal.
I still have the Frisbee on . The bolts are all tight and I will verify that the tensioner is in the middle , I would expect it to be since it is new and shouldn't be worn . The setup is stock with all pulleys and crap associated with it. If I give it hell in low second or any gear it squeals when I let off the accelerator. I have lived with this for about a year so I figure it is a winter project and its time to resolve this friggin noise.

If the tensioner setting is OK try removing the "frisbee", it's inertia (that sucker weighs 10lbs) may be causing belt slip across the water pump pulley.

Also, with it idling visually check for wobble from any of the pullies or the tensioner.
