Cooling Fans
Trying to help a friend out. He has a ‘95 Corvette coupe. LT-1 with auto trans. On cold start up both primary and secondary fans come on and stay on. No check engine light on dash. He has already changed the PCM with no solution to the problem. Also A/C compressor will not engage. He jumped the A/C compressor, it came on and blows cold.

I don't have a 96 so take this as just a guess. Check the fan relays to insure they aren't damaged or sticking and the wiring to insure the PO hadn't wired a manual switch into them.

You need to go through the FSM procedure on this... im currently working my way through it for the opposite problem(my fans wont run) and my AC wont turn on either. You need a Tech1 or Tech2 in order to do a lot of the diagnostics and see what the PCM is seeing.
