Headlight lowers, doesn't come up
My passenger headlight motor refuses to work when it's supposed to raise the headlight, but works fine when closing it. I replaced the gear and bushings already, there's absolutely no response from the motor only when it's supposed to raise, but normal response when closing. The year is 1988.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Sounds like the plastic pellets will be fine, but part of me is entertaining the idea of filling the empty space with RTV sealant to give it some cushion. Also, I like the idea of the fuel line being used instead of plastic pellets.

I have the same problem, but in reverse. 1985, brand new brass gears. It goes all the way up (which it didn’t prior to the gear replacement), but does not come down at all. Multimeter showed no voltage coming from the harness. Tested the motor on the driver side and it worked. Is it a relay or something else?
