hi folks , my 2nd post of the day. as i was driving along (low speed) i experienced alot of misfiring. no check engine light. i threw the clutch in and she was shakin pretty good and even stalled as i was parking. it has happened several times in the past but miraculously clears up on its own. as far as tuneup goes new plugs, wires, opti, air filter and coil within 7000 miles. not sure about the fuel filter but reving the engine was no problem. after it cleared itself up i took it on the interstate and ripped it through the gears beautifully. has anyone experienced this issue and what was the resolution
as i said in my earlier post good mechanics are scarse these days and having had 11 vettes i'm no stranger to working on them. call me old fashion but it was simpler dealing with points and condser and a timing light and dwell meter😎😎😎
Not sure if my symptoms where the same, my 93 LT1 started with a low speed miss, then became a very ruff idle where the RPM's would fall to about 450 and sounded like the engine was going to stall. Fix - new opti.
thanks jph46 after searching high and low a member experienced the same issue. he recommended disconnecting the battery which i did
so far so good. my car slso threw an 09 code low on freon and my ac quit.(at the same time) after disconnecting the battery my ac is also working. go figure. im not complaining especially with r12 refrigerant which could b a nitemare to deal with
