Default X-Pipe

Anyone know of a good x-pipe to buy to replace the resonator? My '96 with the LT4 has 2.75" factory exhaust. I really like the tone with the factory mufflers and x-pipe that I've heard but I'm not sure what to buy. All I can find is a 2.5" or 3" x-pipe and I don't know what will fit, not to mention the length and fitment issues. I could probably have a muffler shop fab one, but it would be much easier/cheaper for me to buy one and have my mechanic brother weld it in for me.

You can buy one from Summit and have a shop weld on reducers. They can also take care of the length issues...
Heres a link to Stainless Works products also.... great company and quality pieces.

for my '94 I bought a 3" x-pipe on Ebay for $40 and had a muffler shop install it for $80 which included adding extension pipes to equal the length of the resonator.

That's what I'm looking to do. Do you know what the dimensions are? I don't want to get one that's too wide. Thanks!

The best ones out there are Magna-Flo and Borla. The less expensive ones are known to split.
