Default Aftermarket EFI computer

Has anyone done a heart transplant from a 95 C4 (LT-1) into an 81 C3? What EFI computer did you use?

The issue you will face will be the OptiSpark distributor. If you are not going to try and adapt the oem one, then one of the best replacements for this is a bit pricey. Why are you looking at an LT1 -vs- a std configuration SBC ?

You can run the stock 94-95 Corvette/ Camaro LT1 PCM.

Here is how to do it using an existing wiring harness. Click on engine conversions. The article discusses how to do using a Camaro harness, but if you have the donor 95 Corvette (not just the motor) the harness/ECM/sensors will be the key to the swap.

you can do it, but if you use the oem ECM you will deal with the programming issues that are inherent to the Gen2 family of ECM's. There is broader tuning support for the later GM ECM's. Having a stock harness and ECM, (especially if in hand already) keeps the cost down. Having to go new (whether using the stock ECM or EFI Connection's conversions) is going to cost.

….. Many Moons ago , I put an a '93 F-body LT1 and trans into a '74 … I had the entire donor car and used the harness and ECM from it to run the works in the shark car … it was a very sweet combo .....
