94' Brake Light Issue
Last night my wife was following me home and she called me while I was driving and told me my brake lights were not working. I have LED tail lights as well as an LED Third brake light. I confirmed the tail lights and blinkers worked properly but the stop lamps will not activate when the brake is applied. We DID notice that only one small LED on the third brake light is lighting up when the brakes are applied (weird).
These LED lights have been installed since 2014 with no issues. I haven't had a chance to trouble shoot yet but plan to after work so was hoping you guys could give me a head start. I was going to check the fuses, lights themselves, as well as the brake pedal switch under the hush panel. Through a search I found that if the stop lamps aren't working but the third brake light is it can be related to the turn signal switch? I am almost thinking that is what it could be but its weird 1 little LED in the center of the third brake light strip is lighting up. If the LED Third brake light is malfunctioning could it lead to the others not working as well? A short perhaps?
I know its all speculation until I dig in but any thoughts or ideas?
