Did someone recently post a web link to a company that produces a bracket with pulley to replace the A/C compressor???? I know I saw one some hwere but I can't find it. Driving me
You don't need one. Just take the a/c stuff out. Leave the bracket that the compressor sits in because that holds your serpentine belt tensioner. Now, get a new serpentine belt and go around the tensioner the oposite way from stock. In order to find the correct size you can cut your belt and use that to wrap around everything and overlap the end and make a mark where they overlap. Take it to the parts store and buy a belt about 1/4" shorter since you didn't pull everything tight enough to make your measurement. This is the way I did it under Doug Rippie's suggestion. I have been thrashing on my car for a couple years like this with no belt problems whatsoever. I would pop a picture on here to show you but I can't seem to get into my web page editor yet.
