Spring Protectors on 1996 C4 Missing

Hi Folks, apparently my 96 came without the spring protectors installed in the front. It has aftermarket VBP springs front and rear. Didn't notice until I obtained a set of FSMs recently and was looking at the front suspension exploded view. Any issues with running the car without the front spring protectors installed?

no problem running without the aluminum covers but i always liked to run them. it just looked finished. but if you would like a pair, i have a set. $25 shipped.
