Default Running rich on cold start?

Since I got my PCM back... the car seems to be running very rich on cold startup until it gets above 130-140 F. No black smoke or anything, just very strong smell of gas coming from the tail pipes. Once it warms up the smell goes away and exhaust seems fine.

Whats done to the car...

LT4 with Hotcam, Ported intake, 160 deg t-stat, PCM reprogrammed, K&N, exhaust is all stock at the moment.

When the guy programmed the PCM, I had him disable the rear o2 sensors and disable the AIR system... possibly the AIR system being disabled thats causing this? it is still in place thou....

the AIR system directs air flow to warm up the cats quicker for more efficient burn. It sounds like it may be contributing to your problem.

From what I can gather reading.. thats sounds about right. Funny as it's not blowing any type of smoke at all.. just smells real rich. Runs great after a couple minutes :D

Time for long tubes I guess :)

Yeah, if you dump too much raw fuel through the cats you'll clog them nicely. Good excuse for the long tubes.

I was planning on the longtubes/cat removal in a couple of months which is why I had the PCM programmed to disregard this stuff now. No sense to send the PCM out twice in that short of time. In the mean time I'll just keep the car up a few hundred RPM to get it to warm up quicker.

Just make sure you pull it out of the garage when you are warming it up. No need to choke yourself out
