Ok I've searched and searched but cannot find the proper procedure for adjusting the throttle cables on my 96 LT-4. If you have read my other thread on the 52mm TPiS throttle body, you know I have been having issues. They re-set the throttle blades to the proper year, but I still can't quite get 100% throttle AND idle. The cable adjustment is similar to the 700R4 throttle valve (TV cable) adjustment. But what is the proper procedure? I've been endlessly experimenting but can't get it right?
Just to be clear, are you using the process in the Factory service manual? The one that requires insertion of a drill bit (or pin) into the ASR module.

Ok. here is the procedure form my 92 manual. Not sure it's the same for a 96 since the transmissions are different. But they should at least give you an idea what's done. Essentially the spools have to be aligned and all cable slacked. I'm running a 94 throttle body and it has a larger throttle quadrant but I still had enough cable after going through this.

WHOA! Thanks a bunch! I Had no idea it was this complex! I know the throttle bodies changed in 95-96's. I'll take a close look too see if there are any similarities before I change anything else. Hopefully, someone with the correct manual will chime in too...
I broke down and bought a 96 service manual. The cable in the manual is different than my car. It has a release lever not a button like I have. Anyone else with a 96 here? Is your car button or lever?
