Welcome to the dark side!!
Ever since doing my LS swap and lowering my car, I've actually had to change my name and move away because the chicks wouldn't stop harassing me

Hope my wife doesn't find out this information or she may put a stop to the project, lol
I've sort of been on the 'LS dark side' for a few years now with my CTS-V, but I guess I finally gave in fully now...

Glad I drove the Corvette to the shop earlier this week... Winter arrived today no way I'd drive the corvette in this weather.
My V on the other hand...6-speed, rear drive, 500hp and 4 winter tires, great fun.

Heck, I won't even drive my Corvette if it is a little damp out. Pretty much zero fun to be had if I can't mash the pedal.
I have had several people ask me how my Toyo R888Rs handle in the rain and get goofy looks when I say .... "I don't know, never driven it in the rain".

Hah, glad that you BC guys finially got snow there, that's just a couple flakes. Us Alberta's have had winter since the beginning of October. This week we get some warm arctic air, probably wont get above -25C or -13F for a high. The lows will be low to mid -30's. I drive a 4wd pick-up year around with winter tires here, and never take them off.

Enjoy that fine Tenesse weather and some cruising!

I think Richmond makes a 6 speed like that, however it is not really meant to go with an LS engine so using it wouldn't be straitforward like the T56 Magnum. I think one forum member may have made it work with some custom parts.
I'm really not sure why most manual trans make 4th 1:1 either seems like 4th being just a little under 1:1 and 5th being just a hair over 1:1 might work better.
Having said that the 5th on this Magnum is 0.80 so it is pretty close to 4th and should quite useful for high speed performance and 6th is also pretty close as well being 0.63, Which is why I chose these ratios.
The 0.75 (5th) and 0.50 (6th) ratios on the regular T56 (also avaliable in the MAGNUM) are not as useful except for highway mileage.

I am glad to see a lot of positivity in here considering how the "I am thinking about LS swap" type threads go.

David, wow it would be pretty cool to drive a 600-700HP engine with a manual. I was going to do a turbo or a procharger when I did my build a few years ago. Maybe one day, maybe. My kid still talks about the last few days of 2019 grade 11, driving my 85 vette. He took a few of his buddies come to take a rip. They been asking where I parked it for the winter.
Yesterday, my leaky pounder POS pick-up decided to break a power steering line and leak anti-freeze out the intake manifold. Geeze we need some global warming here in Alberta, going to be -30's without windchill, -49 with. So going to a beauty of a day tomorrow.
