Default HIT AND RUN :(

Somebody hit the corner of my Corvette's hood in a parking lot.:cry
It's not that bad. I didn't notice it until I got home.
I spent about an hour scrubing all the paint off.:mad
But it left 3 - 1" stress cracks. Is there anything that can be done for this?
Thanks in advance,
VET 350

Sand, fill, primer, paint.
It all comes down to how pretty you want it.

Happened to me about a year ago, supermarket parking lot, all I know was it was a white car, and it scuffed it down far enough to make the fiberglass hairy... It's photoshopped away in my sig pic...

I was hit and runa about a year ago. They scraped all along my passenger door and pushed in some frame at the back. Body work and paint came out to about 1500+.

you know, i had the same issue and i purchased this colored wax and that actually covered it up pretty well. of course my car is black and it is most likely an easier color match than green. good luck :(

I've found you never want to park behind a high vehicle like a damn pickup. They'll never see you. Park defensively and walk a little farther.

Sometimes I end up parking so far away from where I'm going that I think it would be easier just to walk there

It happened to me on the car I drive everyday....thats the big reason I don't drive my vette on any errands.......If they hit the everyday drivers....I just can see what they will do to a vette............

First off. That sucks. I know how you feel. I've had this happen to me and I've never been lucky enough to actually witness such a thing (good for the other guy).

At any rate, is your stress crack on the hood or bumper cover? You could get your front bumper cover repainted and repaired for under $500. I would think that painting the hood would be more as that's a tougher blend. The hood is very prone to color change/fade (as a result of sun) over the years (more so than most other parts of the car).
