High flow t stat

I just went back to a 195 when I redid my intake gaskets. As a bonus I have heat all a sudden and didn't have to burp it for three weeks. Just had to head around the corner to that steep quarter mile uphill back road and floor it. lol.
A lot of little quirky stuff kept happening with the lower temp thermostats in my experience. The car didn't even run right.
With the 195 back in there everything is back to normal.

Yeah, I dunno what the deal was with mine with the lower temp thermostat. It just didn't run right, even after it opened up. It idled and ran like it was out of tune. Even the heater/ac controls got squirrely. I put a stock thermostat back in it (for an L98 in my case), ran the air out of the coolant and everything started working right again. And my whole coolant system was basically new. Radiator, all hoses, water pump, sensors, belt, coolant, vacuum hoses.
Ah well. Like I said, it's all good now, so. I'll graciously bow outta this one, you guys are talking about a different motor than the one I have.

If it's a Gen I, then no stat will cool better than washers. If you're experimenting, then again, no stat will show you more clear results.
