Default Push rod length?

Stock 1989 with automatic transmission 52,000

Does any one know the exact length of the push rod. I don’t have tool that will measure them. When I look them up to order, there are several different lengths listed Maybe the small differences make no matter

What would the results be of a little shorter or a little longer. How much deviation can I go without problems?

Just went through this with my LT4. A little longer pushrod and the rocker arm tip contacts the valve stem lower (near the exhaust ports) instead of right in the middle. A little shorter pushrod moves the rocker tip contact point higher (closer to the intake ports) on the valve stem.
You want the rocker tip to contact the valve stem right in the center. This way you keep the geometry correct and keep your valve guides and valves happy longer.
Use an adjustable pushrod and some machinists dye (dyechem or even a permanent marker) when in doubt.
