High Beam Dimmer Actuator
I picked up a 93 at auction that would not start. I have owned enough C4s in the past to know it was a VATS issue so I picked it up cheap. Got it fixed and started but ran into a issue I have never had before and need some direction.
The High Beam / Dimmer Headlight plastic actuator was missing. I ordered a new one and followed instructions on here to get it put in and adjusted. I am missing the plastic cover for the multi-function switch. It is fully assembled except for that.
My issues is that when I try to actuate the dimmer, the rod and actuator are pushing against the larger inner cover and it will push it out of position, therefore the dimmer will not switch. If i put a little pressure on the cover, everything works fine.
Does the missing cover for the multi-function switch hold the larger, inner cover in place so this does not happen, or do I not have something correct in the rod / actuator assembly?
I plan to order the multi-function switch cover regardless, bt it will take a couple of weeks to get to me in Hawaii., but if that is not the problem, I would like to figure out what is in the mean time.
Thanks!!
There is a good read in this thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-actuator.html. Some of the pics are gone dur to being on photobucket, but some good info.
