need coolant refill help
I just got done doing intake gasket change. As with suggested, I drained the coolant from the bottom of radiator(about may be 7qts?).
So everything is done, and I poured coolant back in the surge tank(Coolant has 350 miles on it, so I saw no reason to not to reuse it) as much as it take(May be half of what originally came out) until it was full to the top. then I also filled the recoverly tank as well
Opened the breeder on top of thermostant housing until more got sucked in, then I started her up with cap open until temp came up to open the thermostant open so that I can pour rest of the coolant it.
Instread, It boilded over surge tank, and made one hell of a mess in my garage floor.
Apparently, Im doing something wrong, and Im not sure what Im doing wrong.

There's probably a lot of air in there. It took me almost three weeks to get mine burped all the way out.
